What does a candy cane symbolize?
Before we get to the recipe, people have asked me many times – what does a candy cane symbolize? When you learn the answer, it’ll make lots of sense to you! Candy canes are made straight, but are most commonly made with a curbe on top. History tells us that the hook actually symbolizes the shephard’s crook. The shephards were the first to worship the baby Jesus, and so the candy cane represents them, according to the Christian faith. Find out more about the history of the candy cane over here.
