Looking for the best apple cider mimosa recipe?

Mimosas are good any time of year, and there are lots of them! In fact, people will often offer a mimosa bar at weddings, mother’s day brunches, or some other special event.  This apple cider mimosa recipe seems much like the rest – there are only two ingredients!  However; it’s about how much of each ingredient that is important, as well as the quality of champagne, as well as if you plan to gussie it up at all for the fancy pants in the crowd.

It’s a perfect fall cocktail!

The tastes of fall are some of my favorites.  Cinnamon and brown sugar, cider, a little bubbly.  It’s all delish.  There’s nothing quite like the taste of crisp apples this time of year.  There isn’t anything like pairing it with bubbly.  This easy apple cider cocktail is the perfect way to celebrate autumn and the holidays this fall.  Thanksgiving is a fabulous time to share this treat, but I have to say – I’ll be mixing up a batch for Halloween as well!

How do I make an apple cider mimosa?

Simple.

  • Fill your champagne flute 3/4 of the way with Prosecco (champagne if you prefer).
  • Finish the glass with good quality apple cider
  • Garnish with an apple slice
  • Enjoy!

What type of apples do you use for garnishing an apple cider mimosa?

My go-to apple is the Honeycrisp.  Honeycrisp apples simply don’t brown nearly as quickly as other varieties! The best part is that you don’t need to rub any citrus on them (which can change the taste), or wrap them tightly.  They simply don’t brown. You can learn more about this delicious variety of apple here.

Can you use Prosecco instead of champagne for mimosas?

The answer is yes.  I do it all of the time.  Prosecco will give you mimosa a sweeter taste that pairs nicely with a tart apple cider.
