My son and I are reading Harry Potter.  I’ve waited 9 long years for this moment! As I expected, he loves everything about the story.  He loves the characters, the magic, the way friends are there for each other.  It has been an inspiring story for years – and now my little one is a part of it. Being a part of his Harry Potter journey with him is as amazing as I hoped it would be! It’s time to celebrate! The names for different spells, characters, and items in the story makes me laugh, and I thought it would be a fabulous idea to develop a cocktail after one of the spells in the story.  Gaining access into Dumbledore’s quarters isn’t an easy feat – unless you know the secret words.  This Harry Potter Inspired Cocktail – the Fizzing Whizzbee will get you in the door!

Developing the Harry Potter Inspired Cocktail – the Fizzing Whizzbee

My son and I had shared a couple of Butterbeer’s together after his first few chapters –  (you’ll LOVE Thrifty Little Mom’s recipe)!

This time though, I was looking for an adult beverage to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted a light cocktail with a citrus finish.  I’ve enjoyed tequila and soda before, however; I was looking for something with a little more finesse.  Something bubbly and bright, but that didn’t include champagne or sparking wine.  My potion needed to be new.  So I used a little magic and came up with this recipe.  It’s fantastic!

You’ll need to have the following ingredients on-hand for the Fizzing Whizbee cocktail:

  • Tequila
  • Diet Tonic Water
  • Orange
  • Lime
  • Sugar

That’s it!  The recipe for this Harry Potter inspired Fizzing Whizzbee is super simple to follow!  Some of the best parts of making this recipe:

  1. It can be made for one or in batches.
  2. You can add more tequila or less depending on your taste.
  3. It’s the perfect addition to a Halloween Party  for the adults to enjoy!

So here it is….one of the best Harry Potter Inspired Cocktails – the Fizzing Whizzbee!
